SWIMBA and Our Goals SWIMBA was formed in 1992 to promote socially responsible and environmentally correct cycling in the Boise Front and public lands throughout the region. With approximately 150 members SWIMBA works with federal, state and local agencies to maintain trails in the Boise foothills area. There are approximately 55 miles of trails within easy riding distance of the city of Boise, Idaho. Purposes The purposes for which the Corporation is organized and will be operated are as follows: To create and enhance mountain biking opportunities in Southwest Idaho by: - educating trail users about safe and responsible trail use
- educating the public about the values and benefits of mountain biking;
- educating the public about the value of open space and natural resource preservation;
- promoting appreciation of and care for public lands;
- building and maintaining trail systems for public use; and
- encouraging dialogue between trail users and public/private landowners.
