SWIMBA MEETING MINUTES 6/16/04 ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING Treasurer’s Report by Tom Foote - $5,021.01 New Board Members elected – Dave Beck, Chris Hess, Greg Bearce, Harley Parson, Lorien Lightfield, Dave Thomas, Margie Rosenberg, Chris Bondurant, Tom Foote, Paul Shinke. All 2 year terms. Annual Members meeting closed. SWIMBA Board Meeting Quorum was declared
Seaman Gulch - National Trail’s Day – Report by Ted Tokumoto AND Tom Chelstrom
Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance – Will receive grant from REI for commuter program. Motion to expend $130.01 passed.
Sprockids – Report by Harley Parson. Wants money for scholarships and bigger bikes. Ridge to Rivers – New coordinator Dave Gordon was introduced. Adopt a Trail – Paul Woods reported, wants to expand it to more trails. SWIMBA will get recognition on kiosks. Trail Ranger Program – Paul Woods reported. It is modeled after the Green Belt Patrol. Tim Rosenthal, Boise PD will assist in structuring the program. Poison Ivy – Jerry West reported the DEQ will allow extermination. Paul Woods said he has worked with Ada County to use herbicides. Shafer Butte – Larry Tripp reported the trail plan is next. BLM – Terry Heslin reported on the off highway vehicle policy and national MTB strategy. Jim Schmidt reported on the Owyhees. Sun Cor and Spring Valley Ranch – Endorsements are requested by these 2 entities. Membership – Chel said we need to recruit more members.
