Food in the beer garden was discussed, is necessary if children are to be in the beer garden.  Tom Basking has discussed it with Ginger Jewell and Ted Baird.

Ride selections discussed were MTB Military Reserve, Corrals and Shane’s.  Road trails discussed were Lucky Peak and Airport.  Cruiser downtown, same route as last year. Ride leaders are needed.  Donations only will be solicited for rides.  Tom Thompson will work on bottled water.

The benefit will be educational kiosks and flyers.  Chris will get rough costs.  Trails to benefit may include Hawkins/Military Reserve, Blessinger/Cartright.  Todd and Chris will check it out.

The non-profit is Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance.  Music will be by Rebecca Scott Decision, Farm Dog, the Reals (top local Denver band).
Ticket sales will be handled by Margie, Bill Peck and Leo.  Free tickets were discussed, Margie to check with Chris Winn on other events.
Ridge to Rivers Trail Signs – We need to design and establish materials.  Fast Signs has our logo.

NEW BUSINESS:
Newsletter Editor – Kristi Regotti was appointed and approved as editor.

Public Relations – Ted Tokumoto was appointed and approved as chairman.
Hyde Park Street Fair – They want to promote alternate transportation, want to have a bike corral at the tennis complex, want someone to man it for donations.  Harley wants to do it for Sprockids and will handle it.

Boulder/White Clouds – Chris Cook is chairing the Idaho Recreation Council, a collaboration of users which raised $10,000.  Includes all users except hikers. ATV, MTB, backcountry horsemen, hunters.  Chris and Harley have been active supporting keeping some trails designated as wilderness open to MTB.  The IMBA position was crafted by Chris and Harley.  Dan Meeker mentioned that Chris took out an ad for $500 with his own money.  Tom Baskin noted the short notice on the agenda of 1 day, requests advance notice.  He recommends a written position on these proposals.  Vigorous and emotional discussion ensued and it was decided that SWIMBA not take a position at this time, but that individual members can take up the pen under their own names if they desire.

Meeting adjourned.
