He stated he and wife Helen pay costs to front this, putting it on their credit card. Harley said it is his private business endeavor, with consulting in addition to the annual ride. Last year maybe 40 people participated. Vigorous discussion was held on contributing, the extent to which the event meets SWIMBA goals, the number of participants versus the amount of the request, how Harley could contribute back to SWIMBA or Sprockids. Discussion held on other requests SWIMBA anticipates receiving from members. Harley projects $987.25 in net income, discussion was held on merits of SWIMBA contributing to a private business that is making a profit. Harley said Darren is planning to do clinics, free ride stunt stuff. Harley offered to give Sprockids 10% of everything past the break even point. Vote was 6 in favor, 2 abstain and 1 opposed. Board Member Selection Committee - Chris Cook said he sent an e-mail to the general membership. NEW BUSINESS: Jennifer Jones, Idaho Rangeland Resource Committee talked about the Care & Share Program to educate people about livestock operations to prevent/reduce conflict. Gates and guard dogs were discussed. Spring All Abilities Yurt Trip - Free use to SWIMBA, purpose is to show people the trails. 6 people to a yurt, Saturday BBQ & poker run. Grand prize is a weekend stay at a yurt. Proposed date is May 13-15. Volunteer needed to organize dinner. Leaders for each yurt - Ted, Leo, Chris, Harley. Nature Trail Seminar - Terry Heslin mentioned a seminar, 1/2 price tuition, $75 if SWIMBA wants to send someone. 4/18. Wilson Peak EA - Chris, although it is out of our area of influence, wants to get single track non-motorized. Location is across the Snake River, North of Hemingway Butte. BLM is dragging it's feet, Chris wants SWIMBA to draft a letter. Terry noted the BLM budget is slim, offered to assist in drafting letter in a citizen capacity. Letter will be drafted and approved by e-mail. Earth Day Events - 4/22-23, $25 for a booth at MK Nature Center. Saturday Chris wants a group ride at 9:00 a.m. Tour de Fat - Chris Winn will be in town 4/12 & 4/15. Todd will coordinate committee meeting. Adopt A Trail - Mike stated all 10 trails are adopted. There will be an IMBA trail seminar 9/17 & 9/18 and Nature Shape seminar. David Gordon will present clinics for groups. Mike doesn't want to ask for money, suggests a sticker to go on posts.
