Meeting called to order by Chris Cook. Minutes are approved. OLD BUSINESS: Treasurer's Report by Tom Foote - $3,338.69 plus unknown amount in Pay Pal account. Foothills Ranger - Ridge to Rivers will handle volunteers to educate trail users and conduct surveys for Parks & Rec. Hang tags at bike shops were discussed. Tom Chelstrom indicated REI could help provide funding for them. Discussion held on merits, issues of getting them out to the public at the bike shops. Re: signage - Harley was interviewed for Channel 17 2 weeks ago and he asked for a DVD. He suggested Ryan Henbest for graphics. Chris has 10 signs like the ones at Hull's Gulch. Harley volunteered for weekly trail reports for radio stations. He suggest coupons for beginner classes. Signs were suggested closer to the top of descents, like Hulls, Trail #4 and Sidewinder. Harley and Jerry will work with Jodi on the project. Mike Burkhart wants to bring in wet trail issue. Director of Resource Council has signs for land managers. Membership Management - Dave Thomas needs volunteers to assist, about 4 hours per month. Will work with Chris and Tom on getting letters out, also growth campaign. Adopt a Trail - Mike reports it is going great, old roads will be targeted by a Kubota. Sprockids - Lorien reported. Grants are being sought by teachers, she will assist. NEW BUSINESS: Owyhee Front and Race Course - Dispute between Ron Dillon and BLM plans for OHV area was discussed. Newsletter - Kristi needs articles for the newsletter, anything to pass on to members and educate the public. Deadline is 6/15/05. There will be a Tour de Fat article. Annual Meeting - 6/15/05 at Smoky Mountain Pizza. Guest speakers from Boise National Forest, BLM, Cattle Association will be present. High lights from last year suggested for meeting. Jerry will distribute flyers announcing annual meeting. Knobby Tire Series - Davey does not request sponsorship, but would like help with the race and requests the presence of SWIMBA. Would be great to have someone do a BBQ. Board Training - Consensus is to try and do it ourselves. Further action can be taken after new board is elected. Tour de Fat - Theme ideas are requested.
