Board Meeting Minutes for: June 15, 2006

• Meeting was called to order by Chris Cook at 7:00pm
• Treasurers Report (by Tom Foote)
  • Total Revenues since last annual meeting: $15,462.61 vs. $11,802.23 a year ago.
  • Total Expenses since last annual meeting: $11,940.07 vs. $13,429.52 a year ago.
  • Total Surplus for the year ending today: $3,522.54 vs. ($1,627.29) a year ago.
  • Veith Consulting $10

OLD BUSINESS:

• Sprockids (Harley Parson):
  • Harley reviewed the current success of the Sprokids program with the general membership.
• Tour de Fat - Tom Foote
  • This event will take place on August 26 and will last from 12 to 7pm. Get the word out as this is SWIMBA's single largest fund raiser of the year.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Board Member Elections:
• The following Board members have served a two year term that expires today:

  Lorien Lightfield	Harley Parson	Margie Rosenberg	Paul Schinke
  David Thomas

• Mike Burkhart has only served 1 year of a two year term but has chosen to forfeit the remainder of his term.
• The following were elected to the board of directors for two year terms. There were the same numbers of candidates as open board seats so all nominated candidates were elected.

• The board shall take up the vacancy of the seat forfeited by Mike Burkhart at the next board meeting. Interested parties should contact the board prior to that meeting. The board will appoint vote to appoint a new board member to fulfill the remainder of the term for Mike's seat as soon as appropriate.
