Second by Dan Meeker. Passed unanimously. - Nick Raganit Memorial: Presented by Daryl King. Proposal for rider ID cards with something in memoriam for Nick on the reverse side. The cost at Bizprint is approximately $135 for 200. Chel believes it is a great idea and suggested it become part of a larger annual membership drive. Bob Roehl moved to appropriate $150 towards the cards, motion died for lack of second. Terry Heslin suggested a helmet sticker. Tom Gattiker suggested making sure it is the best member benefit, it could be brought out at Tour de Fat and Dan Meeker offered to get a machine for that purpose. Jill Giese, Tom Gattiker and Jodi Peterson are interested in the membership committee. The matter will be taken up again after committees are formed.

A check for $5,000 payable to Bogus Basin is needed before the next meeting. A grant was previously received and the funds have been allocated. There was an REI grant for $5,000 and a $2,000 grant for printing the maps. Maps will be ready by Friday and a check is necessary for printing costs. Maps will be sold by SWIMBA at Trailpalooza. - Trailpalooza: Jodi Peterson.
Bogus will open a chair lift for the day. Ian Fitzpatrick will yellow tape freeride trails right now, and will sign trails also. Ads are out on J105, KHits, Eagle. The River is a sponsor. Channel 6 promos start 8/1/07 and will be on Channels 7, 6, 2 and Cable. Nick Tester will be on 96.1. 400 posters were distributed to Thumbtack Express for bike and coffee shops. Jodi suggested information could be at the SWIMBA booth for a memorial for Nick. Jodi mentioned including information for the REI Trail Day, 9/29/07. Meal tickets will be pre-sold for $5 at the Reef, Front Door, Andrae’s and Bittercreek. The funds after cost go to the trail system. Jodi said they are asking for a $5 donation to SWIMBA. Margie indicated SWIMBA needs to be added as an additional insured, that she asked Bogus and Coop to add SWIMBA, but was denied by both. SWIMBA’s insurance will provide a rider to cover its members and volunteers who are participating in rides at a cost of $370. Jodi said the Coop will cover the $370 cost on SWIMBA’s behalf. Discussion was held about using stamps or wrist bands so SWIMBA group leaders can identify riders, wrist bands were selected. SWIMBA booth volunteers are Terry Heslin, Chris Hess, Dan Meeker, Al Casile, Tom Foote and Margie Rosenberg. Jodi also said Coop would be willing any time to provide lunches for work days. Update by the committee. The theme this year is “Summer of Love”. Volunteers are still needed. Janice Fountain and human resources at Albertsons were mentioned. Chel said the project will be solar lighting and brushing snowshoe trails and working on 2-3 miles of mountain bike trails. He would like SWIMBA to co-sponsor with REI. The date is 9/29/07, Public Lands Day. Dan moved to co-sponsor, Bob seconded, motion passed. Chel indicated they estimate over 200 hours of volunteer trail time, equivalent of 40 volunteers for 5 hours. Cobby’s will provide lunch. - Volunteers for various projects:
Dave Thomas will send an e-mail to SWIMBA members re: volunteers for Trailpalooza, Tour de Fat and REI Service Project. Harley Parson asked SWIMBA to make a donation in the amount of $350.00 for the Idaho City Volunteer Ambulance Service. Motion by Dan, second by Cody Hickenbotham. Motion passed unanimously.
