Volunteer for the

 

 

The success of the Bike MS ride is directly related to the wonderful volunteers who help make the event go off without a hitch.  We welcome volunteers with a wide range of talents and skills.  There is only one requirement:  to want to do something about MS NOW.  Your valuable skills and fresh perspectives will make the Society a stronger and better organization.

 

Free accommodation and meals

will be provided to our volunteers

 

Event Site Set-up (Friday) – Help with the set-up of the event site in McCall.

 

Volunteer Check In – Check in volunteers as they arrive and provide them with their assignments.

 

Registration Volunteers – Help check in cyclists as they arrive at start locations.

 

Opening Ceremonies - join the staff at the “crack of dawn” to set up the start site with food, traffic control, and security.  Help cheer the cyclists as they depart on their adventure.

 

Rest Stop Crew – The cyclists stop every 6-10 miles and need to be greeted with smiles, water, and snacks.  Rest stop volunteers help keep the cyclists going!

 

Cheering Squad – Be at the finish line to cheer the cyclists in at the end of their journey each day.

 

Finish Line Ceremonies – We need people to cheer, help check in the cyclists, set up meals, and provide traffic control and security.

 

Massage Therapists – There are a lot of sore and tight muscles at the end of the ride that need some work.  Be there to give 15 minute massages.  It makes a great difference!

 

Motorcyclists – Motorcyclists are  needed at certain locations along the route.

 

Information Booth – Volunteers answer general questions and distribute printed material.

 

Signs – Volunteers are needed to organize signs and assist in placement and removal of signs along the route.

 

HAM Radio Operators – Volunteer Licensed Amateur Radio Operators (HAM Radio) keep in constant communication with all aspects of the ride.

 

Supply Truck Drivers – Volunteers who drive, load, and unload trucks that supply water, food and supplies on the route.  Moderate to heavy lifting is required.  Valid driver’s license required.

 

Medical Volunteers – Will work with Medical Director to ensure cyclists safety.  Volunteers are stationed at rest stops or in mobile vehicles with HAM Radio Operator.

 

SAG Vehicle Driver – Volunteers drive Supply And Gear (SAG) vehicles transporting riders and assisting riders in all aspects of the ride.

 

Event Site Breakdown (Sunday) – Help break down of the event site on Sunday.
